I’m afraid I’m going to have to disagree with you Darell. Although you are correct in saying the french don’t always run away, Tactically speaking they’ve never been the highlight of the battlefield.
I think it was Norman Schwartzkopf who first said “Going to war without France is like going deer hunting without your accordion.”
Its hard to beat old Norman
A bunch of cheese eating surrender monkey’s
more wings of war…excellent.
French get a bad rep in war which is unfair, read an excellent book that showed grunts did a good job in ww2 it was the Generals who let them down. As to the n23, lovely figure but not a stronger choice with a B gun and only 12 damage. Needs to be flown against an historic opponent as late war (as said) will rip it apart.
um.. napoleon? he basically invented the concept of strategic maneuvering… Anyway, yeah French get a bad rap, they usually have decent equipment and training… just their leadership gets complacent after long lulls of peace. The french had some of the heaviest tanks at the beginning of WW2.. and more of them than the germans..
Check out “The art of war in the western world”… good informative book…
And good vid Darrell, always love to hear a little history mixed with the gaming.
check out x wing by fantasy flight, played it yesterday and it was awesome! looks like it plays the same as this
I finally got the WWI aces box set on ebay the other day. Now to build my flying circus.
