If you've seen any of our Artel "W" unboxing you'll know just how good their resin miniatures are, and you'll also know that the majority of their miniatures are excellent for grimdark games in the far future. However, what you may not know is that they have also been working on their own game set in a Cyberpunk 1980s. Hydrophilia

I thought that might get your attention. You can download the rules here it's an interesting little game and as you may suspect the designs and sculpts from Artel "W" are simply stunning. This release adds three miniatures to the Government faction two stonkingly armoured Exotroopers and an engineer.

Artel Exotrooper 1

These Exotroopers are bruises, with an armour of 5 meaning a lot of attacks will need 5s or 6s to deal out any damage, while they shrug the hits off and keep on trucking.

Artel Exotrooper 1 Lloyd

Even the Lloyd area is protected from unexpected buckwheats! The second Exotrooper is also a meaty devil showing off the size of the gunArtel Exotrooper 2

The Exogun is all about sustained suppressing fire allowing the troopers to increase damage with their second shot if they have the action points to take it and did I mention they can drop into the game?

The Government don't only drop armoured walking turrets from the skies though. Sometimes they get engineers to carry and deploy real turrets on the battlefield so the third model, is actually a pair of models.

Artel engineer with reaper

When deployed by the engineer the 'Reaper' turret doesn't move anymore but can be used to guard areas without having to leave troopers behind, to slow or screen your forces.

I absolutely love the style and direction that Artel have taken with Hydrophilia and the miniatures I've managed to get my hands on have been absolutely beautiful as if they've stepped out of a 1980s film. These will make a heavy support option for Government players, so I can't wait to see what they produce next for the Syndicate and Nishimura Corp factions.

Have you tried out Hydrophilia, if you have let me know below what you think and what your faction of choice is? If not grab the rules and why not get involved in the 1980s Cyberpunk world.

Do you have a strong affinity to water?
