These were started a bit before the start of the challenge but with more units to follow starting with the dragon princes one done as a test.
Lizard men
The lizard men were up next all done in the first week of the lock down only took me 23 years to get round to paint them.
The build and sort begins
The two units all glued. Bar shields to be painted separate. Ready for primer
Primer
Black primer on all then grey on top
Then the shields on the spray stick having the same treatment.
Then white from above on all
starting the paint job
First up all skin get a water down coat of game color pale flesh.
Followed by a coat of contrast guilliman flesh.
Then all leather gets a coat of contrast snakebite leather.
The next steps
First up shield arms and poles. All wood contrast wyldwood and then pale flesh and then guilliman flesh on the hands and creed camo on the cloth
Next up is creed camo on the cloth on all the men
Followed by flesh tearers red on hoods and around necks
Fridays progress
First up was basilicanum grey on the fur
Then apothecary white on the padded cloth
gore-grunta fur on the leather coats and padding
then army painter light tone on all padded cloth
Followed by metal color pale burnt metal on all models
finally a wash of strong tone on all metal and a coat of nazdreg yellow on the horn
Today's progress
First up is to glue on all shields and then coat with flesh tearers red
next up is to coat the rim of shields with metal color pale burnt metal followed by army painter stone tone
Sundays jobs
First up is to paint all ropes and head wraps with aggaros dunes
Next up Decals i had some A4 sheets of decal paper left from some present making so had a go at printing my own decals. They have to be sprayed with 3 coats of clear sealer and come out super glossy.
With the glossy decals I had to give them a coat of army painter anti-shine followed by a wash of red tone. Then all models had to coats of game color Earth on the bases ready for there basing mix.
Finally for today the spikes had snakebite leather on the ends of the spikes and the top of the log and some black templar on the coals with a mix of flesh tearers red and iyanden yellow on top. The grass got a coat of ork flesh. Ten followed with a wash of strong tone and game color earth on the base.
first steps
First up the faces get a coat of darkoath flesh then all armour gets a coat of metal color silver and finally skeleton horde on the scale armour and horns and weapons.
Some more progress
All armour get a coat of basilicanum grey and two horses get a coat of cygor brown and two get coats gore-grunta fur and all get there hair coated in black templar. Then the leather bits get a coat of snakebite leather and the cloth and horse armour gets a coat of iyanden yellow plus same on gauntlets and top of standard over the sliver.
Almost done
Last steps started with blood angel red on the gem stones and then some layering of grey seer up to dead white on the armour on the horses.
