Spring Cleaning: Isolation Hobby Reboot
Work From Home Day 5
(I’m not sure why the photos went sideways… I’ll update when I can.)
For this batch I decided I would finally finish my Primaris Repulsor. It’s a great model, but it’s been gathering dust for a couple years because of analysis paralysis. There are so many options for weapons on this thing that it literally stopped me from finishing it because I wasn’t sure what to do. Needless to say, for this project, I decided that I would just pick something and go. I opted for all the lasers I could fit. While I like the multiple barrel guns, I figured longer term it would be better to have some anti-armor for my Primaris Marines… if they ever get finished.
Next I opted to go back to Deadzone and put together another batch of Plague. I already have some painted, but I was able to get an extra 1st Edition starter set. These were the original ‘restic’ models that came in the starter set. I know many people don’t like the material, but I’m OK with it. I like that it’s softer than actual resin, and I find it a bit easier than regular plastic to assemble. In addition, the pieces are all keyed which I really like as it makes it easy to sort and assemble the pieces.
I’m really grateful for the extra time and opportunity to get some more work done with all these models I’ve been sitting on.
I had the same issue with photos, turned out to be some metadata from taking the picture with the phone, you can remove it with some free software (XnViewMP). Great looking project so far though!
