Battle Systems Preview Characters For Core Space Expansion
March 18, 2020 by brennon
Battle Systems has been showing off some new artwork and a few details on an upcoming expansion for Core Space. See what you make of Salazar and Molly to begin with and then we'll dive into more details!
We start with Salazar. He was raised by Human parents who taught him how to scavenge and scavenge well! He is quite the gifted individual, fast and nimble which makes him perfect for the job of snatching up scrap from the darkest corners of space. He will be part of a new expansion called Shift Change.
We also have the partner in crime to Salazar known as Molly!
Molly is another scavenger who will be running around the tabletop looking to snatch up all the loot from crates before you can even get close. She will feature on the cover of their upcoming Dangerous Days book which is going to be revealed soon. I really like that we're seeing expansion content for Core Space which continues to tell stories on the tabletop in such a narrative way.
As well as some artwork, we also saw a render for Salazar which takes his artwork to the next level.
The render has come out very nicely indeed and I think they've managed to capture a lot of the detail from the artwork in 3D form! Miniatures and more information shouldn't be far away so make sure to keep an eye out for the next step in Core Space!
What do you make of Core Space and have you been playing it?

Can’t wait for these to appear, Core Space has become a major favourite down at the local club for pick up/campaign games. PLUS you don’t have to paint up any terrain 😀
The new stuff coming up for Core Space looks great! These scavengers will apparently be a new NPC type that tries to loot crates before the players can.
The free Purge look great as well.
Yup, so no running out with “nekked” characters (that means no equipment) to max out the loot if you’ve got to chase these new scavengers down.
They are also adding some extra mechanics to make gaining and retaining funds and equipment a lot harder (scavengers are part of this) than with the previous campaign. Sounds like they have really been listening to the community on this one and delivered just what they were asking for.
nice looking concepts an aquatic race could be handy for Hellboy, or Starwars.
Great additions to the range. Love this game.
It’s a great game, need to have a closer look at this expansion.
I think I need to play more Core Space before getting more crews unfortunatly! They look awesome though!
