NEW Infinity Battle Pack! Prepare For Operation Kaldstrom Coming Soon
March 13, 2020 by crew
Corvus Belli has something very awesome in the work. Check out the trailer for a new Infinity Two-Player Battle Pack called Operation Kaldstrom.
Featuring miniatures from both the PanOceania and Yu Jing factions, this is the first Battle Pack which will introduce the new Infinity CodeOne rules. This is a faster and more streamlined version of the Infinity game for newcomers wanting an introduction to the universe.
Check back on March 16th for LOTS of additional information on Operation Kaldstrom and a better look at those lovely miniatures!
Are you excited to find out more?

Really like the miniatures.
Seems like my wallet will take a hit again. Love the battle packs from Corvus Belli, and their new terrain is fantastic for a starter box.
Looking forward to see in the code one rules. Goes without saying the new minis are class. Roll on next week.
Am I seeing plastic Infinity minis ?
My wallet is really going to hate that …
I doubt that, I read somewhere that the colouration is only for the trailer so one can distinguish the armies.
if they really want a beginner friendly gameformat … and not scare new players with their rather fragile metal plastic might be the way to go.
OTOH … they haven’t exactly favoured going full plastic after Aristeia (only the core box?).
We’ll know more next week 😀
The Aristeia! core box and expansions are plastic, only the alternate skins and the limited metal core are mad out of metal.
Defiance is metal so I think plastic minis are an exception, they probably will only do it for Aristeia! and then nothing else.
to be fair, Corvus Belli has been making a LOT of progress with their starter set metal models being much easier to assemble… much less fiddly with fewer pieces and often they are going together with much less effort. So yeah, not plastic, but ‘beginner at least do-able if not perfectly beginner friendly’… I expect we’ll see that continue.
I just haven’t got the hang of working with superglue (yet).
And while the parts may not be as fragile as they used to be … the minis themselves are tiny and feel fragile.
Just curious, but what models are you building that you feel the Infinity stuff is tiny? And if you are having issues with superglue, 1) I’d try a different type (consistency, brand, etc), 2) I’d score or rough up any edges you are going to glue together with some sand-paper or an xacto first to help and 3) if really desperate, there is stuff called Zip-kicker that helps speeds up glue bonding (I never use it… but some people swear by it). And there are really (in my experience) only a handful of Infinity models (recently) that are a bit… Read more »
I have the Nomad vs Pano starterset … and I managed to break the knife of one of those with practically zero effort. Maybe it’s because I don’t get how superglue works, but I simply can’t believe those tiny arms can stay fixed to those tiny bodies like that. It feels so fragile. Never had to experiment with plastic glue. All of the stuff simply worked. Although the Revell stuff is perfect due to the small metal nozzle. If I had the equivalent in superglue then I’d be happy. And as I said … maybe it’s just a matter of… Read more »
I guess I just stated with metal models years and years (and years) ago so I’m only now (despite knowing better for also years and years) utilizing plastic cement on my plastic models when even those I justed super glue for…. lol… So much for teaching old dogs new tricks! And yeah, if your hobby time is limited, it is hard to experiment! I’ve seen a lot about weathering pigments and inks and such (not to mention airbrushing!) that I just haven’t made time to practice with! Although I should!
Hoping that CodeOne gives Infinity a boost for casual players such as many at club!
Really looking forward to this theme week. Code One should be exciting.
Fabulous game figures.
Love the new father knight design and excited to pick up the starter to introduce a new mate to the game.
Why the legs hanging so far off the base though.. ‘cmon… I know it’s dynamic but it doesn’t work for a game that is so technically about your “silhouette” when it comes to game play… Especially in a starter box! lol…
With the cancellation of Adepticon, It would be great of CB to release a pdf of the core 1 rules, so we have something to tide us over while we wait. I also miss having extensive CB coverage on this site.
I’ve got high hopes for the CodeOne rules. The presentation and the minis from Infinity are wonderful, but the N3 rules left me cold. I’m hoping that more streamlined rules will make it easier for quick games.
Have been looking forward to code one. Now I’m not so sure. I think I’ll hang on for N4.
What are you worried about? N4 will certainly be more indepth than Code One… but it isn’t like anything from Code One won’t also get profiles in N4! (vs the other way around).
I played a LOT of infinity 2-3 years ago… and as much as I loved the game, it was getting bigger than I could follow… so this re-boot with Code One looks perfect for me and my friends to get into some ‘casual’ Infinity with what we have and with what is coming out in these boxes. Can’t wait!
The miniatures are great which should go with out saying. But I am really impressed with the quality and effort they are putting in to their promo videos. Showing that they are at a point that they can spend money to make these great videos.
