Z-Man Games Put Some Marvel In Your Love Letter
March 12, 2020 by brennon
Z-Man Games has taken the world of Marvel and mashed it up with their classic Love Letter card game in a new game called Infinity Gauntlet: A Love Letter Game.
This game puts a one-versus-many format on the Love Letter format where one player takes on the role of Thanos whilst the others play as heroes looking to try and stop him from assembling the Infinity Gauntlet.
Much like in the original game of Love Letter, players will go around the table drawing a card and playing a card. Each of these cards come with their own powers and abilities which will help you try and guess what cards the Thanos player has in their hand.
The heroes are trying to stop Thanos before he can gather all six of the Infinity Stones and win by snapping his fingers. Whilst the other plays have access to a range of traditionally Love Letter cards, Thanos can draw on his minions like Ebony Maw and his Outriders in order to defeat cards from his opponent's hands.
As well as his minions, Thanos can also draw on the power of the Infinity Stones to aid him. Power Tokens give you boosts towards certain actions and when timed right should allow you to really punish the heroes.
Whilst I'm generally not a fan of IP being slapped onto every single game in existence, I am a massive Marvel fan. I also really like Love Letter and this twist on the format where it becomes a one-versus-many game, sounds like it could be a lot of fun.
I think I might actually pick this up and give it a go when the game hits tabletops this summer.
What do you think?

A fun travel game.?
Certainly for Love Letter
I’m probably in a small minority on this, but I’m starting to…tire of seeing the same 15 to 20 Marvel characters. I get that they want to have some sort of synergy between the projects (movies, comics, games, etc), but they have a massive library of fantastic characters.
Got to run with the well known ones to draw in the casual onlooker – I think it’s be cool to see the X-Men getting some love 🙂
I know, and that is one of the reasons games like this have me so conflicted. On one hand, there has never been a better time to be a fan of comics and games. The overlap is fantastic and we’re getting some great titles or new editions out of it. I want to buy them to show my support so these types of things keep getting made. On the other hand, the reuse of the same characters over and over is getting silly. The only way companies will get that people are displeased is to speak with your wallet and… Read more »
Wonderful card game. I think that it will be great entertainment for me and my girlfriend on some lonely nights. By the way, do you have a girlfriend yourself? If you still didn’t have your own girlfriend then be sure to find out more about dating websites. These are the main way to date today.
