The Adepta Sororitas Receive Heaven Sent Reinforcements
March 9, 2020 by brennon
This weekend sees a new selection of pre-orders for the Adepta Sororitas in Warhammer 40,000. After their return to the battlefields of the grimdark future last year, the Adepta Sororitas have now got so many nice new plastic kits coming their way from Games Workshop.

The first of the new sets coming our way is the Repentia Squad which features a lot of Battle Sisters who have wronged their kin and are now looking to seek redemption on the battlefield. How better to do that than to cast off your armour, grab a massive eviscerator chainsword and then go charging off into battle pumped full of stims.
I think this is a really awesome kit which is packed with some really cool looking Sisters in different poses. I like the idea that they have effectively been stripped of identity and are now simply living weapons of The Emperor, decked out with talismans, prayers and all sorts; walking billboards for the power of faith within The Imperium. They match up well to their armoured sisters.
Take To The Skies
As well as the Repentia Squad we also have two options for those who are heading into the skies. Leading the way we have the Seraphim Squad which most folks will know from the history of the Adepta Sororitas.
Armed with chainswords, bolt pistols, plasma pistols and hand flamers, these ladies are avenging angels from on high. They are going to be useful when you're diving down into battle to secure objectives or get that sneaky shot at the back of a vehicle. Having some more mobile options as part of your force can sometimes be a bit of a juggling act as you're concentrating on the front line but it's well worth investing in them.
If you're looking for a unit with a bit more teeth then check out the Zephyrim Squad who are going to be doing plenty of avenging but in close combat.
Armed with power swords and bringing an icon of their order into battle, you'd do well to stay out of their way or at least shoot them out of the skies before they make their way into battle. Again, I really like the designs, and I think that they've done a good job of making a unit which looks like its ready to throw into the midst of battle.
Shrines On Wheels
Next up, we're looking to dive in and check out some of the vehicles which are going to be landing this weekend for pre-order. The humble Rhino takes up position first, a good way for you get your Battle Sisters into the fighting without them getting shot up.
As well as the Rhino which is a tried and tested battlefield vehicle, you've also got the big and bombastic looking Immolator which is going to be bringing all sorts of fire and fury to the battlefield. As we've stated before in our coverage of the previews, it's awesome to see this over-the-top aspect of Warhammer 40,000 taking centre stage with these releases. If you wanted an army that really drove home the zealous rage of The Imperium, this would be it.
The vehicle kits are all looking rather nifty and come with plenty of options and upgrade components which mean that you're going to look the part. It's certainly better than just seeing a normal Space Marine Rhino getting painted black and red.
Leaders Of The Faith
Lastly (for the Adepta Sororitas at least) we turn to some of their new leaders who are going to be striving to drive their Battle Sisters into more feats of heroism. A Cannoness is a good start and her plastic kit allows you to build a few different variants.
She can be armed with special weapons, different range options and comes with a variety of head options too. One of my favourite looks is the one above with the hooded face (I do love a good hood) although I also like this more martial variant they created too.
What is nice is that because of a few different posing options in the way they come together, you could buy this kit a couple of times and build a few Cannoness options to dot throughout your force. I don't think they'd look out of place thanks to the different silhouettes.
If spouting the edicts of The Emperor is more your thing then how about the Sister Dialogus who is also out this weekend for pre-order? She is going to making sure that everyone remembers the scriptures as she follows her sisters into battle.
I think, much like with the vehicles, that this is another neat look at the grimdark zealotry of Warhammer 40,000. Whilst it may seem a little over-the-top, I think that's perfect and works really well within the design of the Adepta Sororitas as a whole. She sort of reminds me of a Sister Of Sigmar too from the old Mordheim game.
Finally, we have the Imagifier who is another shining beacon on the battlefield. Much like with her sister above, she will be driving your other warriors to feats of heroism and reminding them of the blessed saints who watch them from on high.
As it stands, the Adepta Sororitas range is looking rather nice indeed. There are lots of awesome models coming your way that give you different tactical options. Now you've got access to fast infantry, deadlier fighters, some big vehicles and also a bunch of characters too who can lead the way. It's a good time to like Sisters Of Battle.
Saga Of The Beast
We also got a new trailer for the next Psychic Awakening book. Here we see Ragnar Blackmane going up against Ghazghkull Mag Uruk Thraka in Saga Of The Beast.
Watch out for new miniature previews coming soon for this but as it stands, I'm very happy to see the Space Wolves and Orks get themselves some new/old blood.
What do you make of all this new Warhammer 40,000 goodness?

A mixed bag of Sisters: ridiculous at one end, awesome at the other and nothing in between. The Repentia Squad look like they’ve forgotten their PE kit and been made to do it in their pants.
Also THE RUDDY SIZE OF GHAZGHULL!
Yeah, I’m still not happy with the way they did the Repentia. Wargames Exclusive and Raging Heroes make their own lines of classic Repentia with updated sculpts, so I’d go with them if I ever decided to play Sisters.
…And I NEED to see that Gaz miniature in the flesh! It looks like he’d rival in Armiger in size right now!
Very nice love the Sisters banner.
Calling all avenging angles angles angles kickass angles.
