Just saw a trailer for a new film coming out May 7th in New Zealand, your mileage will vary, called Greyhound. For those of you interested in WWII, especially naval conflict, there seems to be a lot of tension.

Looks interesting – definitely one I’d like to see someone like History Buffs do an episode on.

Looks interesting, and Tom Hanks is an auto watch.

Not too sure about the dubstep soundtrack …

It’s as if everybody started doing it after Inception or so it seems.

It could be an interesting movie, but it makes me wonder … do we get to see Tom Hanks in every theatre in WW2 up to and including the Soviet front ? 😀

The story is from the CS Forester novel, The Good Shepherd, which I first read in high school some (mumble mumble) years ago.

I have to say, I enjoy Hank’s work over the last 20 years to bring historical realism to the screen (at least compared to what we got through the 80s and 90s) and whilst it isn’t perfect, it’s better than a lot of other offerings.

Always excited to see something added to the list.
