First Guardsmen unit done
Progress – first complete unit done. I’m aware there’s mistake in individual models but as a unit they really work and are good enough for me I think when on the table.
All painted using the scheme previously posted, doesn’t involve a lot of highlighting and tries to make the most out of zenithal priming / contrast paints.
Basing was done using Woodland Scenics Blended Turf and then some Lukes Aps flock scatter (foam). I experimented with turfs but all mine were 4/6mm and just looked too big.
I’ve also magnetized these as when I play I’m prone to knocking units out of trays when I try moving them.
Will take a break from units and do a couple of NCU or elite units next I think but tackling another unit.
Nicely done! And magnetisation is definitely the way to go with ASOIAF minies, I kept knocking mine around all the time before, they’re so light. Makes transporting easier too.
