As previously mentioned the Asgard crew definitely seem to have a step up in detail. Whilst i love this model i am definitely dreading the complex shape of this one added to the many fine armour details of her costume. Still i want to get her on the table so time to dig out some greens and get the mighty Hela done!As previously mentioned the Asgard crew definitely seem to have a step up in detail. Okay only three colours but by Christ i ballsed up spraying Black! The two greens (especially Jungle) are awful for going over black. The smoke to an age to finally get enough coverage. Advice from me would be a light primer and hand paint the black. Would have saved me so much time. Also i find when i hit a model that’s already daunting me, the additional annoyance of bad planning can really suck the enthusiasm out of a project. Important thing is to not get to dispirited, take a break from it but dont leave to long. Thankfully having it as a visible project really helps me to keep focussed on getting it done.

Went quite big with the green wash (remember kids, use your wash mediu!) as i need it to do a lot of the heavy lifting on this model. Ill work out the pooling areas with some dry brushing and a dark tone wash

A 50/50 green wash and medium followed by a 70/30 wash, dark tone wash adds some depth. Also also flesh tone on the face

After a final tidy of the base ad a matt coat the queen of hell is complete. Was a tough one to paint but worth sticking with as shes a lovely model. Really looking forward to getting her on the table!
