Just a thought – prompted by @osbad saying using a snooker table… I know you don’t want a standard table with a gaming topper, but have you considered a gaming table with a dining topper?

By ‘gaming table’ I mean anything that isn’t intended to be used as a dining room table, regardless of what it was really intended to be. If you could get, say, a snooker table that worked well for gaming, and make a topper to fit it, then rather than needing to store a topper for a dining room table, you’d have a standard dining room set up that you stripped down to make a gaming table. You’d only need to store the topper when in use for gaming rather than all of the time except when you’re gaming.
