Warlord Games Drop Teaser Trailer For Victory At Sea
February 18, 2020 by brennon
A few weeks ago we saw a teaser image pop up for Warlord Games' new take on a classic naval wargame, Victory At Sea. Well, this week also saw a trailer drop for the game too.
One would imagine we're going to see this dropping as an updated version of the game which was previously published by Mongoose. The scale of the game will be set to 1:1800 and will let you dive in, at least to begin with, during the war for the Pacific and World War II.
"Victory at Sea is a 1:1800 scale game of naval combat during the Second World War. Victory at Sea includes capital ships, aircraft carriers, submarines, aircraft and more, allowing you to play out skirmishes involving single destroyers hunting down merchantmen, to the clashing of massive fleets against implacable enemies!"
I think this one could be a rather fun option for World War II fans and maybe we'll have to see about breaking this out in the studio once it's released.
Are you tempted?

Nice trailer! I want to see the game in action to get a better feel for it but the miniatures are looking nice!
I would be surprised if people without access to massive play areas will be having massive fleets on the table
I think it’ll depend more on whether people are okay with the aesthetics of having lots of ship models in obviously-closer proximity than they would have been IRL. Ground-scale will obviously have to be greatly reduced no matter the size of the fleets. People like messing around with battleships and carriers on the tabletop, so concessions have to be made to realism.
Reminds me of the games I used to play with War at Sea (same scale, 6ftx4ft table), which undeniably looked like the naval equivalent of ‘tank-parks’ XD

you sunk my battleship.
I´m tempted because it is the Pacific theatre WW II. Wonder whether they solve the scale problem porperly.
Can’t remember the scale at the moment but we used to play several similar games using micro armor’s warships. Remember having lots of fun so we’ll have to give this a look when it becomes available.
