DUST: Operation Babylon Kickstarter Now Finished!

It's come down to the last few hours of the DUST: Operation Babylon Kickstarter and it's been absolutely bloody crazy when you think about it! With a pledge total pushing around $500,000 it looks like a lot of people are going to be happily playing both Tactics and Battlefield over the next few months and hopefully years!

The guys behind DUST have come up with a rather interesting diagram to show you what the sweet spot is for this Kickstarter and I must say that is a LOT of stuff for the pledge amount you're putting in. See what you think...
...and yes that's not three different pledges but in fact one big pledge. Pretty insane I must say and that will be a lot of painting and plastic you have to work with (or not) when the miniatures finally arrive at your door. It's so big I had to cut the damn thing into three just so you could see everything together!
There are also a few of the big premium deals left as pledge levels where you get everything in the pledge painted for you buy the in house studio painters at DUST. That's pretty awesome and would shave a bit of the effort out of getting this army onto the tabletop.

We can't wait to get our hands on some more DUST goodies and it shouldn't be long before the studio if full of walkers, specialist soldiers and heroes duking it out across various battlefields.

I just pledged, but to be frank I have absolutely NO CLUE what freebies I’m getting since I didn’t take the army deal pledge.
I put in over $150 so I’m eligible for something, but what exactly? Just the old campaign book? Upgrades for one faction? Just the girl squad? Argh!
All the free upgrades are available for each pledge over 150 dollars, for evey 150 dollars you pledge. Doubles can be swapped.
I think only the wel, achilles box and sisters are 1 per plegde, not per 150 dollars.
Don’t forget to take an extra walker body ($20) if you put the free arms on it, you have a reduced walker ($20 instead of $30)
you get the well every 150 only Achilles operation and sisters are one time.
this is the easy way the first set of freebies you keep for whatever faction you choose then every 150 dollars you spend so 300-450-600-750-900-etc you can swap some or all of the freebies for credit if you swap them all you get 109 dollars credit for each 150 dollars after the first 150 so say you pledged 900 you would then get 5-545 dollars in credit to spend on whatever you want
I didn’t choose a faction, I’m basically going to take add-ons only.
If I can swap the freebies for credit than that would be really swell — quite frankly I don’t really care for the DUST infantry but vehicles are really nice.
The first three graphics on this page is what you get depending on what army you have chosen.
Triple field Marshall for me, I will have to work out what items to swap out which are duplicates so I can obtain some terrain and extra troops etc.

fyi the well is 1 per every 150 dollars and the freebies you get are not random you can take credit which I think is about 109 dollars per 150 spent or you can take an axis and allies or an ssu freebie set but they are the same models etc each time so you only need to get one and then if you get the 150 dollars spent a second or more times just swap for credit and get more units
I have small Axis and Allied forces so I just bought the SSU premium army – couldn’t resist the massive discount compared to premium prices at retail and I have too much stuff to paint already!

I would love to win even if not all the pieces I happy with a taste because it’s looking like I won’t have a enough money for anything because of baby bills
170, allies, but I love the look of the desert fox.currently painting an SSU walker, but not sticking to cammo, was inspired by the look of Warrens blue steel guard. Not painting them as ultra marines though.
Triple Task Force, all the Add-ons bundles, a lot of Achilles stuff… I am waiting for the pledge manager to appear but tweaking the possibilities on a spread sheet keeps me amused. As does have 8 pdfs of rules and cards and campaigns to read through 🙂
you know… I would TOTALLY buy a photobook of the dioramas and set ups they put together.
Yeah I wish they would do that and throw in all of that awesome art that Paolo draws. Top it off with a nice injection of fluff accounting some of the major battles in each theater would be awesome.
I went stupid big, two Premium Army Deal…for the price and quality of the pre-painted stuff I figured what the hell. Now I wait for the survey to make my choice on armies…..SSU and Axis, or SSU and Allies
I couldn’t resist…jumped in at triple commander. Briefly considered a premium pledge, but I can paint them myself. Some day.
When will the next weekender be uo?
I pledged $600 (double task force commander) and the rest of the amount is for axis all in one and some achillies and scenery items.
Being a dust warfare player I am going to have wait a little longer for the warfare new unit cards
