Games Workshop has also been teasing what's coming on the digital front as they looked at some of the artwork which is going into their Animated Anthology for Warhammer 40,000.

40K Animation #1 - Games Workshop

Tell Your Own Warhammer 40,000 Stories @ Store.OnTableTop

The Anthology, by its very name, is going to deal with a whole host of characters and some of them are going to be tied to an Inquisitorial retinue as you can see above. All of these characters look pretty hard as nails and you wouldn't want to get on the wrong side of them.

When it comes to telling stories within the grimdark future I think this is the medium and avenue that you should go down. More traditional animation allows you to do some fascinating things and it rarely looks cheap as some rendered 3D work can do. It also means that you get all sorts of different styles in the mix, as varied as the pens that hit the page.

40K Animation #2 - Games Workshop

More previews are going to be popping up at the likes of AdeptiCon over in the US and Warhammer Fest in the UK (which is back in Birmingham, yay!). I really like what we're seeing here and there was even a finished scene that popped up too.

40K Animation #3 - Games Workshop

I could take or leave the Angels Of Death short as, as I mentioned above, I still think (despite the talent involved) it's going to look a little janky. THIS, however, if it's anything like the finished project we've got above, is going to be right on target for telling stories within the world of Warhammer 40,000.

For example, if they were able to get the animation to the level of Castlevania which is on Netflix right now then I think people would be pleased with the final product.

Are you going to be keeping an eye out for more trailers?
