Fantasy Flight Bring KeyForge To Genesys Roleplaying Game
January 7, 2020 by brennon
Fantasy Flight Games has announced a new sourcebook for those diving into Genesys, the roleplaying game which covers all manner of different genres. KeyForge and The Crucible call as they look to allow you to play characters who are battling in this wild world.
Within the book, you'll find ways to build all sorts of characters from the unique world of KeyForge. With their myriad different creatures and factions to draw from, the options here seem pretty endless. Interestingly, it immediately gave me the impression of Gamma World, the old D&D sideline project which was a mash-up of different ideas.
As well as character creation, you'll also find an array of unique weapon and armour options, new skills for you to harness using the mysterious Aember and of course plenty of adversaries for you to battle against. There is even a new adventure builder which helps tie all of these elements together.
This sounds rather fascinating and could well be the very different roleplaying experience that people might have been looking forward to. The mash-up of genres and ideas means that pretty much anything goes with this world so, it would be great to see just what people design for this. I will have to await a Fantasy Flight Games livestream game for sure!
What do you think?

Me thinks RPGs are in a bit of a renaissance ATM…lol
With me they never went out of fashion 🙂
RPG’s are my true passion… skirmish games are a sideline that just so happens to contain a bucket load of miniatures for my RPG’s.
IIRC, FFG just laid off their RPG department. Don’t expect much support, I guess…
