Warhammer 40,000 is also getting itself a lot of updates this year with the Adepta Soroitas being front and centre from Games Workshop. Coming this weekend, you'll have the option to pre-order the new Codex which will get you stuck into war on the tabletop with these devout warriors of the Imperium.

Build Your Warhammer 40,000 Army @ Store.OnTableTop

This is your chance to get your hands on the rules after the more limited release which we saw in November of last year. You'll find rules for all of the new models that are fighting to protect the Imperium for all sorts of chaotic threats plus lots of stratagems, warlord traits, relics to take into battle, objectives to fight over and more.

The new Adepta Sororitas seem to have been quite popular with folk and I know that lots of people have already been painting up armies to take to the tabletop in earnest. For those wanting to build up a larger force this weekend will also see the release of the core Battle Sisters set.

Battle Sisters Squad New - 40K

This gives you a selection of warriors forming the core of your force. I really like the poses we're seeing here, warriors all, striding to battle and looking like they are in the midst of the fighting. You get quite a lot of options too it seems with an array of weapons plus multiple heads, both helmeted and unhelmeted. This is certainly one of the more stylish looking new sets which has given the Battle Sisters a new lease of life.

You'll also be able to get yourself an array of different heavy weapons with the Retributor Squad. Burn your enemies, mow them down and blow them up.

Battle Sisters 2020 - 40K

Once again, this is a rather ace looking set and I particularly love the head option which comes with a mask over half of their face. I think you could play around with some object source lighting here too to make them look seriously deadly. Maybe you could even put some weapon effects at the muzzles of these weapons too?

Finally, you've also got the Triumph Of Saint Katherine which is the rather over-the-top and yet entirely appropriate model for your games.

Triumph Of Saint Katherine - 40K

This might not look like it would have a place in your games but it certainly does. You could use this as the centrepiece of your force, buffing the resilience of your Battle Sisters as they stride forward into battle. Or, you could include it as part of a diorama perhaps?

Zealous Servants For 2020

Beyond the pre-orders, for this weekend we've also got a peek at what else the Adepta Sororitas have to offer in 2020. Of course, the Adepta Sororitas are going to be taking to the skies to give you quicker options in battle. You should certainly be using these to secure objectives and strike at the heart of your enemies.

Battle Sisters Flying 2020 - 40K

As well as more Battle Sisters in different guises you've also got some additional support of a more brutal and destructive style. Arco-flagellants are rage-blinded creations, warped and twisted prisoners who have been given a new lease of 'life'. They now serve the Emperor and Imperium in a different way, giving their lives in a flash of blood and metal.

Arco-flagellants - 40K

Those who have cunning eyes will also have noticed that a particularly famous Arco-flagellants has also made it into the mix. Damien 1427 has been reduced in size from his Inquisitor days and now finds his place amongst more of his kin. You just have to mention the kill word and they'll be off.

Walkers aplenty are also finding their way into the mix. More prisoners have been lashed to terrible engines of war and are going to be slicing and dicing their way through the enemy with a blind sense of glee. They are tooled up with all manner of brutal weapons, both for close combat and at range.

Pentient Engines - 40K

There is also this particularly nasty looking creation which seems to be brimming with energy. It is well worth finding out just how these work and hopefully we'll have a look at the rules for all things Adepta Sororitas in the near future as Warhammer 40,000 welcomes this old army back into the mix.

Battle Sisters Walker 2020 - 40K

As it stands, the Adepta Sororitas is looking like an excellent option for those who want to dive into Warhammer 40,000 and experience the zealous side of the Imperium beyond the might of the Space Marines and dogged determination of the Astra Militarum. You can see what else is coming here...

Finally, for the Adepta Sororitas anyway, we have this rather impressive terrain piece. See what you make of this as a new piece of plastic for use on the tabletop.

Saint Statue - 40K

You could have a lot of fun working on this one, maybe adding a bit of battle damage into the equation. This would make a great place to focus your attention during a game, an objective worth protecting with all your zeal.

T'Au On The Horizon

As well as the release of more Adepta Sororitas models there was also a preview of Commander Shadowsun as she gets a new model for an updated T'Au force.

Shadowsun - 40K

She is one of the most badass looking models in the T'Au line-up. The character has always been one which evoked awesome imagery and she has now been given a cool new pose which is much more suited to the battlefield.

The Greater Good is going to be front and centre soon as the Psychic Awakening finds its way to this alien force that sits on the borders of the Imperium.

Are you tempted to dive into more from Warhammer 40,000 soon?
