The Ritual Of The Damned Brings Dark Angels Back To 40K

Warhammer 40,000 is getting an update too as The Ritual Of The Damned continues the tales told as part of the Psychic Awakening by Games Workshop. This time around the Dark Angels are getting an update alongside the Grey Knights and Thousand Sons who will be twisting things to unleash some terrifying psychic shockwave through the galaxy.

The cover character making a name for himself and leading the narrative this time around is Master Lazarus who was previously a Sergeant from the Dark Angels 5th Company. During The Wrath Of Magnus, he was laid low by foul sorcery but he was then reborn as one of the first Primaris within the Inner Circle. He has a deep hatred of Psykers which is good when you're on the hunt.
You can check out the full trailer down below which gives you an interesting look as to what awaits. I like the fact that we're seeing Magnus The Red coming back to the fore and the Thousand Sons striving to bring some new plan to life in the name of the Chaos Gods.
The Dark Angels are a seriously cool army and I love their aesthetic as well as their tortured past.
Make sure to let us know below if this new storyline is going to get you building a new army?

I was hoping the Dark Angels would resist the Primaris curse
They’ve had Primaris for a while now; they were one of the first to get a faction-specific conversion kit. It does make sense in-universe, though. Given how much the Dark Angels have screwed up, it would make sense that they’d recruit as many Primaris as they could to get back in the Imperium’s good books.
That’s a shame. I thought with their secretive nature they would not allow any external intrusion into the chapter. I have a theory at some point the Primaris will be triggered to wipe out all non-primaris marines. I hoped the Dark Angels and Space Wolves would be at the forefront of the resistance.
Well even Guilliman, the man that sacntioned them, hates them so I don’t think he will make them wipe out the old marines, though I can see them replacing the normal marines over time. And I doubt the Dark Angels can say no to a request from a primarch and acting leader of the Imperium, I read somwhere on the net that the Custodes also help making sure that the chapters accept the Primaris, don’t know if thats true though. And of course the Dark Angels Inner Circle will only tell them what they need to know, same as with… Read more »
I think we all know that Rowboat will trigger order 66 for his chaos primarse to execute space marines. It’s only a matter of time before the marines go away and Rowboat pulls the plug on daddies life support like a Swiss clinic
I wouldn’t be so sure, even though the inevitable Imperial Civil War is definitely seeming more and more likely. The way I see it, if Guilliman tries to execute the old space marines in order to replace them with the Primaris and set himself up as the new Emperor, it’s going to lead to two separate human factions: the loyalists, who still follow the ways of the Old Emperor and maintain normal space marine legions, and the new empire who follow Guilliman instead and consist mostly of Primaris. It’s not just a battle of old vs. new, but it’s about… Read more »
I think things are getting set up for the big counterattack in 40K ?
Is it still just Little Dark Angels and Big Little Dark Angels though? No sign of their Primarch showing up for a family argument?
Traitor Primaris !?! ….. Well I never!!! 😉 😛
love this new Lazarus model! Cant wait to get my hands on him, to lead my 5th company! Means I can have all the primaris as 5th and keep my original marines as 3rd company…
Really looking forward to seeing what this brings!
