The game pits witch hunters and their retinues against foul witches and their henchmen.  In some ways it is a typical skirmish game and in many other ways it is not.  The KS is for the rule book because it is a bring your own miniatures game.  I am not, but there has been a long discussion about the game on the FB Skirmish Group.

The activation system is unique (at least to me). Here you have a limited number of activation tokens you can spend in different ways during your activation, or during your opponents activation. You really need to make smart use of these or you will be in serious trouble.

Activation Tokens are set by the composition of your warband. Also entering the table with your warbands is completely different.  You must activate to get onto the table but where you appear depends on your initiative.  For example, you can change your mind or come in from a different edge if you are willing to spend you activation tokens.  Risk your tokens in a strategy now or hold back and hope you build up your forces for later.  There is also an interesting cowardice roll for certain situations.

In some ways it resembles Frostgrave but it is different in the way it plays

Or, if you are like me and avoid FB at all costs
