Aconyte Reveal More On Arkham Horror Story, Wrath Of N’Kai

Aconyte Books has been revealing more details of their follow up book for 2020 after their novel looking at Legend Of The Five Rings. Wrath of N'Kai will take you into the world of Arkham Horror, penned by Josh Reynolds.
Here is the lowdown on what you'll find when you dive into this story...
"Contessa Alessandra Zorzi, international adventurer and thief, arrives in Arkham pursuing an ancient body freshly exhumed from a mound in Oklahoma, of curious provenance and peculiar characteristics. But before she can steal it, another party beats her to it. During the resulting gunfight at the Arkham Historical Society, the Contessa makes eye contact with the petrified corpse and begins an adventure of discovery outside her wildest experiences. Now, caught between her mysterious client, the police, and a society of necrophagic connoisseurs, she finds herself on the trail of a resurrected mummy as well as the star-born terror gestating within it."
Sounds fascinating, very Arkham and of course damn Pulpy too. I love that they've designed the cover like one of those old horror films/books from back in the day, giving it another air of authenticity. The story isn't going to be arriving until later next year but it's great to see that there is a good line-up in the works.
I can imagine this getting a few folks interested in diving into the Arkham world on the tabletop and trying out more of the Fantasy Flight Games.
What do you think?

I like the idea of reading stories tied in to a gaming setting. I read a lot of 40K novels and whilst they might not be the greatest works of fiction they meet my need for something easy and disposable to read before bed. I’ll probably get this as I enjoy games of Arkham Horror too.
I do absolutely LOVE that book cover, right out of the 1950’s B Movie catalogue. Will be picking up a copy (amazingly positive post from me, feel unwell now…must sit down)
