Both North Star Military Figures and Modiphius are going to be giving you ways to pick up the new Deluxe Edition of Rangers Of Shadow Deep by Joseph McCullough which will be released next year in February 2020.

The new version of the book will come with a faux leather forest ranger green cover which will have the design stamped into it. This gives it the feel of an in-world item which might be useful as the handbook all Rangers rifle through when they are on their adventures. For those not aware of what the game is all about...

"A kingdom stands on the brink of destruction, as the vast realm called the Shadow Deep slowly swallows everything in its path. This then develops into a solo and/or cooperative game where you take on the role of Rangers and their kin who are heading out to discover what foul machinations are in the works and put a stop to them! The extra cool thing about the game is that scenarios are played out like a campaign where your decisions make a difference and you will lose friends along the way as well as levelling up and becoming more powerful in your pursuit of the enemy.

If you order through Modiphius then you'll be able to get your hands on a PDF version of the rules immediately and if you go with North Star then you'll be able to add a unique Ranger sculpt into the mix and use them to lead your warband through the darkness to see what lies ahead.

I spent a little while trying to get stuck into this game and played through the first scenario or two but unfortunately just ran out of time to play more of it! I'm hoping to get a couple of friends involved so that we can play through with a group of Rangers to see how the cooperative side of it plays out.
