Warehouses Finished
Not only did I get the two warehouses painted but a set of fences as well and those had been on the table forever. As long as the residential building I’ve finally started painting but that is in the gallery at the end of this post. The blue grey of the ground floor is darker than I would have preferred but it is an even coat so I’m not touching it again. The first floor will get white or cream interior walls
I have to say it is quite educational to build these sets back to back. The second one was assembled without glue, as MicroArts suggests, which made the pieces fit together smoother as well as make corrections easier. Once I had finished assembly I then used a fine tip adapter to place regular superglue at key joints and intersections letting wicking action pull the adhesive into place. The windows, being transparent acrylic, would frost with superglue so I used a general adhesive that dries clear instead but only in the slightest amount. I also figured out after completing all the windows in the first warehouse that it is better to leave the friskit in place until everything is done to avoid fingerprints and glue trails.
These are looking great! I like the colors and it looks like there is plenty of space for gaming.
