4Ground Build Up The Levels With Urban Combat Tiles
November 22, 2019 by brennon
4Ground has been showing off more from their upcoming range of Urban Combat Tiles which would be a good fit for those playing games of Necromunda and Kill Team. Here they've been adding levels and building some verticality into the mix.
The folks behind 4Ground have been tinkering around with colours, graffiti and such in the background but this gives you an idea of the way that the tiles can be used to build up layers and create fascinating avenues for combat to take place in.
The team has also been considering where to go next with this terrain. It is already very modular and I love that some of the pillars have been blasted apart, battered by time and rifle fire. They can even be dropped into the mix across the table as a whole just to give you some cover.
They are contemplating the addition of some stairs, ladders and potentially more depending on what you folks in the community want to see. I think these terrain pieces look bloomin' awesome and they show off the level of detail that 4Ground go to, even at this early stage, when it comes to crafting their terrain. I mean look...there are layers within the pillars!?
What do you make of these new previews?

It’s looks like they were inspired by the 1990s Necromunda box set terrain.
I reckon so. There’s someone done a very close “homage” to the original terrain in MDF if you really want retro (without quite so many models falling off)
Those walkways (from the 1990s box set) were trampolines waiting to happen.
Ha yes! And those lovely metal minis.
Great for prefab buildings that’s new campsites are made from.
