Things are hotting up as part of the Unique Card Game, KeyForge, which is seeing another expansion from the folks at Fantasy Flight Games. A new Core Set is now available, Worlds Collide, which introduces two new factions into the mix.

KeyForge Worlds Collide - FFG

The Worlds Collide set will give you two unique Archon Decks to start playing the game with alongside a quickstart rulebook, poster playmats and all of the tokens and such you need to play the game. Arriving in the world of the Crucible you'll find yourself introduced to the Saurian Republic and the Star Alliance, each with their own unique set of abilities which change up this ever-changing card game even more.

Start Small

You can also get stuck into the game in a smaller way if you've already taken the plunge into KeyForge. The traditional Archon Deck is still available which just gives you a cheap and cheerful deck to start playing games with, entirely unique as a one-of-a-kind set for the game.

You can also pick up a Deluxe Archon Deck which offers up a little boost for someone getting into the game by themselves. This comes with the deck plus all of the components you need for one player to get stuck into the game.

KeyForge is still a very smart game which really opens up the door for more people to just dive in and play. The unique nature of the game means that there's no weird meta for you to get your head around and it's simply a case of just picking up a deck, learning the rules within about five minutes and just playing to see if you can work out just how your deck plays.

I've not played much of the game over the last few months as I've been exploring a lot more board games but I'm glad that I can simply dive back in whenever I want and skill be as competitive as I was before without having to feel like I need all the expansions.

Are you tempted to pick up some more from KeyForge?
