First time participating in one of these threads so hopefully I’m doing this right. 😉
First, the pledge; Err, I guess mine will be to get some work done on my Chaos Dwarf Army this week. Dig it out the other day and sorted it out into units. Now I need to start conversion work on some (should probably also start a project blog on here at some point to chart the progress on it ?)
As for the questions:
1) Biggest regret is possibly not buying more Chaos Dwarf stuff when I had chance; never gonna happen, but would be great if GW started selling the big hats again ?. Biggest disappointment is by far the Manorhouse Workshop Kickstarter; sank a couple hundred quid into it and have yet to see anything from it, and their customer service/public relations is abysmal. It put me off Kickstarters for a while with me deciding that I’d only risk it for big names like Mantic, and I only went against that and backed a small name company recently because I know the guy behind it via a forum I frequent and thus trust him enough to take the risk.
2) can’t really answer this as I don’t play board games enough to have a favourite one, let alone enough familiarity with the rules to make a judgement in what changes would improve it. If we broaden the question to tabletop games in general, then I’d say my favourite game is probably WHFB and the changes I’d like to see are first, it being brought back (but not at the expense of AoS; I can see no good that would come from jettisoning one game in favour of another), second is like to see unit caps brought back, so that each unit has its own max size rather than all units being able to have up to 100 men in them, third is like to see some sort of bundle deal, such as buying two boxes of Core troops gets you a free (low level) Hero mini and fourth, to go with the last point a skirmish ruleset so people can start playing straight away without the need to dump a hundred odd quid into the game just to start, with it scaling up to the point where adding a warmachine and/or wizard means you have enough to play small games of the mass combat rules and can continue expanding from there.
3) Nope; don’t think I’ve even bought anything yet! ?
Havent considered Christmas wishes yet…Hmm I suppose as I bought a Nintendo Switch Lite when they were released back in September, maybe a new game or two for that? ?
