Final Trailer For Netflix’s The Witcher Glugs Its Potions
November 2, 2019 by brennon
Netflix has released the final trailer for their new Fantasy series, The Witcher, which will be dropping on December 20th.
The new series is based on the book series and whilst I know some people will be a little weirded out by the look of Geralt not being quite right in their head, I think this is looking bloomin' awesome. I love anything sword and sorcery and it's always fun to see more of it making it to the screen. The Witcher books are also rite gud like brah!
Henry Cavill has gone on record saying he is a big fan of The Witcher and it seems like he is relishing the role, at least from the trailers. I can't wait to watch this!
Are you going to be giving this a go as Christmas rolls around?

This drops the same day as Season 4 of The Expanse and the weekend of Rise of Skywalker. Am now even more glad that I booked the 18th, 19th & 20th off work….
Looks good never played the game but any half decent film should stand by its own merits.
Hmmm…Geralt’s looking a lot less ugly and world-weary than I remember, and more like a Hollywood pretty boy…How is it video game movies never have the actors look like the game characters? Lara Croft is the only real example I can think of where the movie and game characters are a near-perfect match.
Maybe, just maybe… because it’s not a video game movie? If you look closely around 1:31 mark, you’ll see ‘based on the international bestselling book series’. The same one that the games were based upon.
Really? I’d always thought the video games came first. You really do learn something new every day. I just wasn’t sure where exactly where their inspiration was coming from, because the trailer shares a lot of elements from the games.
game is damn perfect representation of Sapkowski series.
Star Wars, Witcher and Expanse 4 — I have the week of Christmas off, I know what I will be watching as I hobby!
Damm, I started reading Sapkowski series when I was 15y old. That was 23 years ago. I would never expect this to happen, specially after Polish fail on Witcher. I don’t like logo and how Jennefer looks as she is not Jennefer I imagined. Ciri is spot on and I cant wait to see dwarfs. This looks amazing, I can’t wait.
The trailer looks great… even if it is a bunch of lies.
For those that want to know, Geralt is NOT the main character of this season/series. He is in it a lot, supposedly. But he is not the main character.
Ciri and Yennefer are the main two characters of this season/series. Most of the story is told from their view points… or in relation to their characters history.
Not saying this will make it a bad show, just saying people need to temper expectations if Geralt is the main reason you want to watch the show.
