Talking with various store owners in the past, Infinity is one of those “long-tail” ranges that are difficult to know what to stock.

Certain ranges, like GW, small retailers can focus on the regular new releases and usually move those items quickly through the store not tying up money (cash or borrowed) in hard to shift stock. Infinity has the occasional big box releases that can do the same, but not as frequent as a GW monthly release schedule and the nature of the game means customers want different individual models from the long tail – and there just isn’t the supply chain between CB and stores to support that ‘click and collect’ market at the moment.

In most parts of the world there just aren’t the distributors prepared to stock that long tail either, they want stock moving through their hands quickly too. Direct from manufacturers then becomes the only viable model.
