Gerry sits down again with Rob and Matt from Mantic Games to talk about the League Of Infamy.

Made by the same people behind the Hellboy: Board Game, League Of Infamy implores you to embody the worst part of yourselves to beat up some elves and end the careers of their dragon mounts. Gerry talks to the guys about the designers and the influences behind this game and what we can expect from the League of Infamy.
What character are you most excited to play as?

We need more minis with instruments!
Love the idea of Steven Seagal Halflings. Lots of things to get excited about. While I like the old Drakons (perhaps I am the only one who did), these are a step up!
are you sure its not Sergeant Major Williams the halfling?
I love that Mantic keeps stepping up their miniatures game! Plus, this is an interesting take on a semi-cooperative game with a cool setting/reason for it. Fun stuff, I look forward to the kickstarter.
A female in metal armour that does not automatically guide blades and arrows into the centre of the torso… that will never catch on… she’ll never get a man dressed like that 🙂
Clearly the immortal vampire treasures her unlike more than the elf. But then the elf has gone wrong
Definitely the Goblin Ninja!
Great concept for a game; playing as the villains sticking it to the bad guys. With Needy Cat Games behind it as well I’m all for giving this a go – loved Hellboy as Gerry was stating during the chat.
Infamy,Infamy they’ve all got it in fo…….oh you’ve heard this one
Damn! you’ve done my line!
As I am a guitar player myself, it has to be the bard. The headpiece of his guitar is a Dean Giutars piece, the V.
I can imagine the kind of music he´s playing. Downstrokes and speed-riffing ´til the end of night and vocals that make Barnes from Cannibal Corpse appear like a choir boy.
Is this going to be a board game or a tabletop game?
I´d like to see a necromancer in a game like this, summoning skeletons and all Kinds if miscreants.
boardgame, dungeon crawler with a difference
Neat twist on the dungeon delve system we are seeing in a recent spark in via Defiance, Hellboy, and others. Love the Goblin in the art.
As a fan of Munchkin and working together before stabbing people in the back at the end, I approve of this game!
Looks interesting, the anti-hero concept that is not always explored.
Looking good.First choice will be the Ratkin for me,having had some experience with him…
Nice to hear Mantic are giving their worlds more thought. In the past its been a pet peeve that their races are painted quite differently between games, like they didn’t care about internal consistency in their lore.
that’s all changed now, Matt actually has the time line planned out for several years ahead and has essentially the bible that authors and other spin off games will work from, likewise those games and occurances will feed back into KoW on the tabletop
Thats good to hear. I’ve been watching Mantic slowly improve over the past few years. I;ve spent a lot of money on their stuff. I’ve enjoyed some of it and been dissapointed by others. I like their guiding ethos that gaming shouldn’t cost the earth. I’d love to see them do well and iron out all their wrinkles that bother me.
Never seen halflings looking that mean . . . not sure what to make of them.
if you an an orc you could make a stew.
Halflings aren’t humans so technically it’s not cannibalism if you make a stew out of them if you’re anything other than a Halfling.
Looks fun, really like the bard.
Looking forward to this one!!
Some of the miniatures look alright but call me old fashioned, I prefer the heroes to be heroes and the villains to be villains. I’m not a fan of the villains being the protagonists. It’s like people who want to play evil characters in d&d. I just don’t get it.
Still it’s probably a decent set of miniatures for the Kings of War Rpg so maybe
I really like the look of the demoness priest hunter
There are so many things on kickstarter catching my eye right now! Hellboy is great, keen to see more of this.
I hope they improve some mechanics of Dungeon Saga, it’s not a bad games but it’s not the game you hope of Mantic( they ruleset are on of the best of the market right now).
Waiting for more details of the game to lure me to the Dark side 😉
It’s more of an evilution (see what I did there) from Hellboy, with some DS DNA and a sprinkling of new
Thx for the answer, I have ear good things about Hellboy system.
sounds really nice, cool minis
great figures love the elf? with the wings.
The red lady? If so she is an abyssal succubus priest hunter.
Time for the demons to fight back. Yay demons
a fabulous looking figure.
nearly as sexy as Bo? lol
I’m looking forward to this game. Like Jemmy, I too play guitar, so the Bard would be my first choice.
I see they found a box for the dwarf to stand on. ;D
Oh can’t wait for all the shinies! Love the idea of the priest hunter, will be interesting how she plays out ingame
