The only issue I have with Discord is it’s a very time sensitive form of communications, thus CoG members from around the world will just see things break down and they start to miss stuff that’s been on Discord (so rather than bring people together it separates them into timezone “groups”). Discord is GREAT for anything that’s basically offtopic, but for discussions about the hobby as a whole I still think the forums form a very important part
