Creative Sculpt Studios Have A Beast Of A Kickstarter
October 2, 2019 by avernos
Creative Sculpt Studio is the brain child of Paul Smith, a sculptor for hire in the Oldhammer school, and he has brought his own blend of greenstuff and madness to the Beasts of Chaos Kickstarter campaign.
This beast is 110 mm long and 70 mm tall (mini attack slug not included) but the Giant Chaos Slug is not the only thing in this campaign. A focus on traditional sculpting and aesthetics give Paul's work a fantastically gritty feel.
These Beastmen are a mix of animals, from the fly headed monstrosity to the rhino and boar giving me a Beebop and Rocksteady feel, would make an awesome addition to a small scale skirmish game or as heroes in a larger massed battle system to distinguish them from the disgusting crowd. There are also warhounds and minotaurs already sculpted and ready to fight for whatever warlord can keep them fed and away from the prettier livestock.
Paul has larger plans as well as a 50 mm Spawn looking like a demented man baby
He has also a most fearsome creature, beware the jaws that bite, the claws that catch! For a Jabbawokki is coming
He's already smashed through his funding goal and the latest update showed off a devilish dark totem that is being added as a stretch goal.
I absolutely adore Paul's style and these are terrific sculpts (they begat terror) some of these will be joining my Kings of War forces in the not too distant future.
What do you think of the old school terror?

Beautiful.
Is it just me or does the “demented man baby” look like someone took a GW troll and slapped a differend head on it? oO
I think it looks great, but I am just in for the Chaos Slug at the moment!
Man these are disturbing! I like the “Kingdom Death” look they’ve got going, especially with that troll. The beastman with the Brundlefly head is also nice and creepy.
He is my favourite of the Beastmen!
Ooh the infamous Jabbawokki the slug looks great so does the toy story man baby.
Woah! I really like that spawn…even if it does just look like a troll with a big human head.
I can’t imagine why a spawn with a big head would interest you @chaoshead87 … actually, nevermind
