Spitfires No. 92 Squadron
I finished some Spitfires from No. 92 Squadron. The Models are from Warlord Games. The declas are from MiscMini. I had a lot of trouble with wings that were bent and/or twisted. I fixed this by dipping the wings in hot water, straightening them and then immediately dipping them in ice water
He 162 finished
Finally i finished the two He 162.
He 162 wip
I started to paint the first He 162 for Blood Red Skies. The model is from Armaments in Miniature.
Me 262 finished
I finished the Me 262‘s. They represent two Jets from the Jagdverband 44. This unit had no Unit markings.
This time i had some trouble with the decals. They look a little bit uneven and blistered. But they look OK from a distance.
Me 262
I started to paint my Me 262 for Blood Red Skies.
The models are from Armaments in Miniature, cast in resin.
The dark green is Black green from the Revell Aqua Color range (36140), for the lighter green i mixed in some yellow, the light blue grey ist RLM 76 from AK interactive.
Second Me 110
I finished the second Me 110. I used the same techniques as on the other Me 110 from Warlord Games. The only difference is that this model is from Armaments in Miniature.
Next i will paint the 262‘s.
What‘s next ... Jets
Next i will paint some German Jets (two Me-262 and one He-162) and a second Me-110. All miniatures are from Armaments in Miniature. For the Jets we will use some experimentel rules.
Mig Alley
The Migs and the Sabres i painted a while ago. The planes were painted with GW Mithril Silver and washed with thinned Army painter Strong and Dark Tone ink. Then i gave them a coat of gloss varnish, added all the Decals and sealed everything with Army Painter Anti-Shine.
I posted these models also on „what are you painting now“ a few days ago.
Me-110
This is a Me-110 (i used the Bombo Schenk Model from Warlord Games an Decals from Miscmini). The painting techniques are the same as for the Me-109. The dark green is 36140 from the Revell Aqua Color range. I added a rear machine gun using a small bit of thin wire.
Me-109
These are the Me-109 from the Blood Red Skies Set.
After bending the wings (dip wings in hot water for some seconds, remove, straighten the wings, dip in ice water), i painted all with AK Interactive Luftwaffe Color Set. Used some Armypainter dark and strong tone, and give the models a coat of gloss varnish. After everything was dry i used some wash from Flory Models. Then i put all the decals on (Miscmini) and sealed everything with Armypainter antishine.
