German Troops Mass To Stop The Allies This Week In Flames Of War

Battlefront Miniatures has been adding lots more troops into the mix for this week's German release for Flames Of War. We start with two boxes including the new Grenadier Company.
These soldiers were picked from those who were thought unfit for frontline duty. This meant that they were stationed at the beaches and defences along the coast of France and whilst they made the Allies pay dearly they weren't the most well-trained individuals. As some accounts have said, they spent more time building fortifications than they did fighting.
This is in contrast to the likes of the Panzergrenadier Platoon you can also pick up which adds a little bit more of a strikeforce into the mix for your German army.
Supported by vehicles the Panzergrenadiers could launch lighting strikes against the enemy and disrupt their plans before they knew what was happening.
These two different elements of the German army can also be supported with some additional kit in the form of an sMG34 Machine-gun Platoon and 8cm Mortar Platoon which are also available from Battlefront this week.
You can also top things off with the addition of an Armoured Panzergrenadier Company HQ if you like too.
If your army is built on being fast and deadly then you need to make sure that the HQ element of your force can keep up with the rest of the army. So, mount your command element up as well as you'll have a fighting force that might be able to halt the Allied advance for a little while.

Sorry but I’m going to use the comments to contact OTT. (Did try the normal way but all I got back was spam). Alas the most common piece of German Equipment for late war is still not released. The “humble” horse and cart, usually deployed at company level this piece of equipment formed the bulk of logistical support in the German army in the late war. Things like half tracks and even trucks became rarer and rarer as production was switched to producing “fighting units”. Basically late war, nearly all the artillery in the German army was wasn’t and SPG was horse drawn (same for the Russians), and nearly all the logistical transport was also horse drawn.
