A New Age Of Sigmar Mortarch Revealed In The Tithe III
August 27, 2019 by brennon
Games Workshop keeps up the previews for the next steps within the Age Of Sigmar narrative with a new trailer for The Tithe. In part three we get to meet the newest Mortarch, serving under Nagash.
The new trailer introduces some cool looks at what are most certainly going to be new models. Leading the way is the as-yet-unnamed Mortarch who definitely has a little bit of the Egyptian feel to his design (maybe even a bit Necrontry!) but mixed in with interesting cues from other cultures too.
As well as this we also get a look at some of his soldiers which all look like heavily armoured undead warriors. There are also some looks at massive war engines like catapults too. I would imagine this is going to be a whole new addition to the Grand Alliance of Death which takes cues from the Tomb Kings and brings them into the new Age Of Sigmar narrative.
I am very interested to see what Games Workshop have in the works, especially with the big previews said to be dropping tomorrow (Wednesday). I loved what they did with the Night Haunt and this looks like another interesting take on the undead.
Will you be keeping an eye on this?

The cavalry at the start of the video look interesting, hope it is more than a horse with a funny head.
I was waiting for Liono and the rest of the Thundercats to appear.
Awesome!
Fantasy Necrons?
? Nagash/Mortarch? looks more like a Necron to me.
When I saw them I was instantly reminded of the Doctor Who Cybermen!
I don’t know, but I don’t think they in with the other aesthetics of Grand order Death.
This really looks interesting, can’t wait to see the actual models.
Am I the only person who sees the Khorne look in these pictures?
The headdress for the Mortarch does look like the crest that Khorne warriors have yes.
Is this attempt to give Nagash his own version of Sigmarine because I see similar elements in his armor and helmet.
oh boy… more skeletons.. *yawn*
…more stupid products at stupid prices! I love your name too.
It would be cool if they did end up going the Tomb Kings route and bringing them back with an all-new look; they’ve kind of fallen by the wayside, especially since the Death alliance was practically made for them. Though I’d like to see just ONE Age of Sigmar or 40K thread without several “Oh great, more X models…” comments.
I think its really funny, that several of the images shows these new undead army all ranked up in nice blocks of infantry. LOL.
At least they don’t have skeletons using telescopes!
