Cisternina Deus (Ecclesia Stercus)

Here are some juicy close-ups of our 3rd major building on our massive 40K gaming table.

If you are interested to know how we created the gaming table you can watch the build vlogs here:

Watch out for night shots at some point this week too!

This building has been named and has some background created by our community member – robert.

The second building was a shrine to the Adeptus Astartes. The chapter it was dedicated to, is little known, but the Cisternina Deus saved the world from an Ork invasion, 300 years before the present times and the people revered these marines here. More sinister dealings have been thought to have occurred here, and ultimately this shrine to the Imperiums finest warriors may be the source of all of the world’s woes. This building was known as the Ecclesia Stercus.

What a fantastic gaming table!

If I’d have been in the Cultist Temple this weekend, I probably won’t have played on that grand table as I’d have been gringing away to get further progress done on my Starter box.

But I would have taken many breaks and looked at that table and been inspired by it to make my army worthy of sitting upon it. ??

Dim the lights, point the camera up the building, have the searchlight move around on the blimp, and play the Batman TAS music loudly.
