About the Project

I couldn't pass up the Digital Ticket for the 40k Hobby Weekend. I ordered and received my box of Militarum Tempestus. While waiting for it to arrive I had a look through the Astra Militarum book and then expanded my research to the internet. I discover the 101st Betic Dragons and decided that their color scheme worked for my tastes. I have also bought some other units that the rules tell me can work with my main unit.

This Project is Active

Tomorrow starts the painting and it goes like this.

This paint scheme really caught my eye.  Also the red berets as well!

I’ll be using my ‘Army Painter Mega Set’ to bring my troops to life.

Dark grey

Light grey or brushed aluminum

Medium red

Khaki

I was going to buy GW paints just for this weekend, but couldn’t find any place that sold complete paint sets.  I just couldn’t bring myself to click every paint color separately and keep track of which colors I had already ordered.   Maybe next time I’ll make the time sink.  I do have a Deepkin army to paint up soon for Warcry.

The first wave is built!

I’m making no promises that I’ll finish all of this during the 40k Hobby Weekend.  But it should keep me busy!
