Stonemaier Games has announced a new board game of civilisation building. One-to-five players can start weaving their own Tapestry.

Tapestry - Stonemaier Games

This game has you creating a civilisation with the most storied and interesting history, beginning at the birth of humanity and reaching off into the future. Your civilisation will grow to be unique, influenced by real-world events and the people you play with.

Advance up along four different tracks, Scient, Technology, Exploration and Military and as you do you'll unlock different benefits. You can choose to focus on a specific track for major benefits or take a more balanced approach in order to better manage your chances of survival. As the blurb for the game says...

"You will also improve your income, build your capital city, leverage your asymmetric abilities, earn victory points, and gain tapestry cards that will tell the story of your civilization."

I hope we get to find out more about this game very soon. A single-player game is always a big hit with me and the fact it goes up to five players opens up loads of interesting options. Every Stonemaier production is a beauty to behold and I can't see how this is going to be any different.

Will you be delving into Tapestry when it opens up pre-orders in September?
