Good Morning All!
I’m back to working on the river boards today. Slow going, as they are becoming tedious. I’ll be putting a plasticard edge on two of the flat boards and trying to get them flocked today. I’ve got two more to do, but I want to put down some old bits of cobble, and some squared off corners, remnants of ancient building foundations. I’ve been saving up eggshell. It works quite well for that, as long as you remember to remove the membrane on the inside. Otherwise the shell wants to retain its round shape.
@unclejimmy Tau bits? Yes, please! Has no one else claimed them? I didn’t want to take all your stuff!
Mould lines? Where? There’s an intentional gap running down the centre of the keel, but I thought I had it sorted otherwise. Is that what you meant?
Yes, I would like to have a look at Tomorrow’s War. I’ve seen some of your FoF battle reports on here. Looks like fun!
No worries about the truck. If it’s just you we can find room, and I’ll run you around wherever you would like to go. As I said, the hospital isn’t far if you need it. I can get there in under 10 minutes. Winnipeg is about 40 minutes away; that’s where you would fly into. If you Google Earth ‘Ste. Genevieve, Manitoba’ you’ll see where we live: on the cusp of the Prairies and Canadian Shield country (rocks, pines, lakes). We’re two miles north of the village, and half a mile west. The pond is a giveaway.
The land is for sale because the guy is asking $55,000 for it; he only paid $39,000 and I think he got suckered at that price. The front half is a swamp… but fixable. If you dredge the swamp you can use the fill, which is mostly gravel, to build up a house site… and then you’re left with is a nice big pond. If you connect it to the ditches it will soon have minnows and other things in it that will take care of any mosquito larvae.
Also, I have a big “Beware of Dog” sign at the end of the driveway and fire off .22 rounds whenever anyone looks at the land. I don’t want a neighbour I don’t know.
@irredeemable Sounds like a fun game. Do you also get points for tonnage sunk? You say it’s a cooperative game. How do you win?
Awesome job on the green suit! It really pops! When I do bulk troops these days I often do a drybrush first and soften the ragged edges with a wash and then add a glaze afterward.
Mellow tunes this morning.
Time for some chores and then off to the garage.
