While your story is sad my only real comment is not to feel guilt.

At one time in my life I had too many interests and I dabbled in them all but ended up feeling guilt and frustration at progress in any of them.

With real life commitments even the most fortunate of us doesn’t have unlimited leisure time and this means something often has to give.

So in my case, I sold my guitar and amp, cancelled my martial arts classes, boxed up the xbox360 and sold off 90% of my games and made my analogue gaming and those friends my leisure priority.

For me this worked and I have no regrets.

From your comments you sound like the digital gaming side of things may be the thing that is working best for you. Maybe this is a sign from your subconscious behaviour. Digital gaming is just as valid anarwa of interest as analogue. You generally have less prep and set up time. The Internet can enable participation with friends from home.

If after reflection you decide to mothball you minis and paints or even sell them off do not feel guilty. You have not “failed”, like every other mortal you just had to prioritise to get stuff done.
