Commit Historic Backstabbing In Successors On Kickstarter

Phalanx Games have announced a Kickstarter to bring the classic game of ancient historical backstabbing Successors back to the tabletop.
Successors is a board game that has been around in various forms since the mid-nineties. In it, you and up to four other players take on the role of Alexander the Great's commanders, now battling for what remains of the conqueror's empire after his death.
This is not a game I have come across before, but I would love to give it a try. It promises a lot of tactical depth and i have always enjoined the constant shift of play that comes with forming tabletop alliances.
Phalanx will be launching the Kickstarter on August the 26th.
Do you have any fond memories of playing this game?
Could be an interesting game by the sounds of it, well see how well the kick starter go’s.
