Venture Into The Perilous Dark Of Frostgrave In October
August 6, 2019 by brennon
The shadowy ruins of Felstad await your adventuring warbands in Frostgrave: Perilous Dark which is going to be released by Osprey Games in October.
This new addition to the Frostgrave world introduces full rules for playing both solo and cooperative games where your feuds are put aside as you explore the mysteries of the city of Felstad. This leads us towards guidelines for dungeon crawls and traditional adventures in the ruins. You'll find new traps, random encounters and four multi-part scenario mini-campaigns to get your players started.
It would appear that Perilous Dark builds on the success of Rangers Of Shadow Deep and offers up a new option for those that want to explore Frostgrave without the worry of finding opponents. As someone who loves cooperative gaming, be it in miniatures games or board/card games, I think this is a great idea.
Watch out for the release of this in October.

Oh awesome rangers of shadow deep is great, will be nice to pit some wizards into the mix I hope they’re compatible as they’re largely the same game
I wonder what minis might be coming with this from NorthStar (although I’ve still so many to get). The 8 “nu” wizards they released in metal for the last expansion (like the Fate Caster) are some of the BEST wizardly mini’s I’ve seen period (the “shades” versions of each one was nice too if you want to use them for invisibility, or spirt form). I know a Frostgrave V2.0 is in the works as Joe found that only about 1/3rd of the spells were being used, so he’s reworking the other 2/3rds to make them more appealing and adding in… Read more »
As far as I have read, there is a plastic female wizard sprue in the works – it might be ready in time for this.
The last five on this page where the new metals, and it’s 3 or 4 of them that are female (The Fate Caster could easily be either)

BEST Frostgrave minis I’ve seen from NorthStar yet, and the Wizard Shades were a rather unique addition

I look forward to this new book and it’s Solo play options.
More Frostgrave is always a good thing 🙂 !
sounds good.
I have pretty much everything Frostgrave and waiting for the POD of the latest Rangers of Shadowdeep to add to my collection.
Solo Frostgrave is possible already with a mini campaign I believe, but a new book is always good, so I’ll be picking this up.
This is relevant to my interests. Hoping there’s a NickStarter
Why KS? Osprey publish books and sell them.
A NickStarter is just the name Nick Eyre gives the preorders he runs on NorthStar. You usually get a extra wee bonus if you buy from there.
I see… Thought it was a typo… it’s a pun instead.
