The Abyssal Dwarfs Take Over Kings Of War
April 23, 2014 by brennon
Mantic Games have plenty of Kings of War stuff up for Advance Order up on their website and a good portion of it is Abyssal Dwarfs. See what you think of some of their heroes and units coming soon...
First up we have these heroes that are all a little bit crazy. I like that Ghenna is a very typical looking Abyssal Dwarf which is neat but it's been twisted with the appearance of Arhak! He looks like the sorry creation that forms the last of the Dwemer in the Elder Scrolls series.
It's not just the heroes arriving on the tabletop either. The folks at Mantic are also bringing out a selection of interesting units and my favourite has to be those awesomely huge Golems. I got to see these last year down at Tabletop Nation and have occasionally seen them popping up every so often elsewhere but now, with a very nice lick of paint, they look awesome.
Will you be grabbing these from Mantic?

Nice stuff, especially the huge Golems, but that dwarf / mechanical spider thing is proper garbage.
Perfectly acceptable given the price. Nice work.
I hear great things about Mantic’s games, but their miniatures just don’t impress me. They are cheaper than most, but unfortunately they look it too.
Well you can always try using other miniature ranges in Kings of War. 😉
Personally I find these quite underwhelming, but I do think Mantic are capable of producing fantastic minis
At least the gargoyles look decent.
Lol what the hell are those Dwarfs doing, the hoovering or what? Seriously two of them look like their going to clean up the house. WTF.
Mantic games=great. Ive backed a couple of their KS and the quality is getting better though it has to be said and their Enforcers are catching many an eye at the club.
However I cant see the dust busting Dwarfs selling much. I wont even mention the Harpies. Possibly they look better in the flesh.
I don’t like the look of the Spider/Centaur personally. :s I think it would’ve been better if it had organic legs rather than mechanical ones.
I just wish they had replaced the plastic+metal hybrid guys with full plastic.
