And now, the end is near, and now I face, the final currrrttttaaiiin.
It’s been a long time coming, and they’re not actually finished by a long shot, but I’ve finally got to my goal of well over a hundred marines, support and full command for the Death Strike – which means I can get on with other things whilst perhaps, occasionally doing more of these guys more for enjoyment than like feeling like an uphill struggle through a sea of blue armour.
It’s taken about three years to get to this stage, on and off, with two colour schemes, and most were assembled ten years ago for the first Apocalypse release. I’ve plans to rebase on 32mm the ones that need it, and even unify the colour schemes eventually, but hey – no rush now.
I’m fairly proud of the banner for this field command. I’ve cleared the kitchen table to do some full army shots tomorrow too. W00t!
(oh yeah, just to properly annoy me at the very end, my spray varnish decided to start frosting up on these models. If you look closely you’ll see some lumpy bits – a split second of pure hulk like rage crossed my face when I noticed, but became very zen and didn’t launch the whole lot across the garden. Be proud of me.)
