@unclejimmy I’ve heard of ‘Bluestone 42’. Never got a chance to see it though, but it’s British comedy so it must be worth a peek.
Given that I’ve got a ton of armies to paint & assemble a good & interesting modern skirmish ruleset that isn’t out-of-print is on my watchlist (I blame OTT and the SitRep forum/podcast for starting me down that road *). Spectre Ops and Skirmish Sangin are two options I’m considering for when/if I gots time and opportunity to hunt them down in physical format. PDF’s lack that ‘new rulebook’ smell. Something like Ghost Recon/Rainbow 6 vs drug boss …
It’s finally starting to cool down to regular summer temperatures around here.
With 40k hobby weekend in two weeks I really need to get assembling my minions.
I’ll probably end up with two sort-of-active-when-I-get-to-it projects (in addition to about two dozen factions for systems that are in my mountain of plastic/resin/metal because I like the shiny stuff and can’t limit myself to a single system/setting/theme ) …
(*) not really … however @oriskany & co have done such a great job at making modern warfare interesting that I want to see how deep down that particular rabbit hole I can go (time and space permitting).
Did I mention that the recent Historicon coverage has put WW1 Skirmish on my roadmap of doom too ?
