Miniature Building Authority Clamber Into Their SpecOps LMTV
July 30, 2019 by brennon
Miniature Building Authority are going to be coming to Kickstarter soon with a special version of their LMTV. This hulking beast of a vehicle is going to be coming to fundraising in Mid-August to help get production off the ground, a mighty Warpig!
Designed as a Special Operations variant this big ol' beast comes laden with everything they would ever need. All of your bags are strapped to the side and it works almost like a mobile command centre if nothing else. It isn't unprotected either thanks to those big pintle-mounted machine guns.
The vehicle is going to be coming to Kickstarter alongside the crew so you will get everything you see here. Maybe if you asked someone very nicely they'd even paint it up as well as this too. I can't imagine the amount of patience needed to get that camouflage looking as good as that on their uniforms.
Could this be a new autumn project for you?

That is super tasty! Stunning detail too. However, it is the wrong scale for me…I want it in 20mm. I would still build one…it would work in a Zombie game. (any excuse)
Hi mothersbrotherjames, what scale is this? I can’t find it anywhere. I was assuming it was 28mm
looks like the new bulldog with the roof off?
Looks nice I’ll check this out on Kickstarter if the price is right might back.
Cool! A new version of the M1078. Almost looks like the JSOC wants to recreate the LRDGs of old. I mean. look at those jerry cans!
It does have that LRDG vibe @oriskany . Can’t help thinking I’d be happier in an MRAP thought. The crew are pretty exposed.
Oh, personally @ceppie ? If we were doing this “at 1:1 scale” so to speak? Yeah, I agree 100%. I’m supposing the advantages of the M1078 would be range and speed and off-road mobility for really long range missions deep into unsecured territory. Guessing on that, though.
I do like it a lot and can think of a number of games it would be perfect for. From a practical point of view; I would hate to ride in this at the back of a convoy, across the desert, and have copious amounts of sand and camel dung flung in my face. 🙂
Fantastic looking mini!
Aw man thats one big beastie! Defo one for the list I’m looking to get into MENA skirmish games
