So myself and Noyjatat have been beavering away on the 50pts lists and finally managed to get a spare night to get the armies on the table.

As luck would have it a friend at our local gaming club was getting rid of a whole load of 15mm scenery. From the looks of it this was model railway scenery but after putting it on the table, for us it fitted right in at 15mm.

I think I’d like to matt the scenery down and add some weathering to it just to remove the “plastic” look that it has.

Because we were playing 50pts we felt that a 3ft x 3ft table would have been sufficient. After the game had finished we both agreed that even at that points level a larger table would have been better.

We both had a blast and it was a great game to start learning the rules, even though I think we got a few wrong 🙂

Next step is to start getting some paint on the infantry.

@mbbelius forgot to mention that he decimated my German force with his plucky Brits, the game saw a strong showing by his force. Even the infantry managed to get into the fight engaging armour by assaulting but were driven off. That being said from their efforts my unit quickly broke and fled the table as did two others towards the end.

We stuck with the basics and will definitely be getting in some more games soon. I had sadly had trouble uploading images but thankfully Mark grabbed some pictures too.

The scenery looks grand scale wise and even a little weathering will really add to it. Not to go all train nerd, but the terrain looks HO gauge to me, which is about 1/87, so wouldn’t look out of place with 1/100 tanks. But the main thing is it looks good! Those trees are fab!

Good to see a game in, even if @noyjatat did let Team Germany down 😉

Great work on nabbing all that terrain – it really helps bring a table to life. A few washes and it will blend right in. I’m guessing the two 88s had a tough time drawing line of sight to anything British given the density of the terrain!

That terrain was a heck of a find. Looks great and the Army is coming along.
