Good Morning All!
Running a little short on sleep, as there was a rave in a field a mile and a half from the house, and I could hear the music like it was coming from the radio in the kitchen. The base rattled the windows. It’s an annual thing, so I know to get on to the RCMP early so they can dial back the noise. I’m all for parties and I get it, but I just finished working six days in a row, and needed some rack time. RCMP came by with lights and sirens at 0300 so clearly something went pear shaped; I’m thinking one of my neighbours may have shot up the place.
Busy day at my LGS yesterday, but managed to put together five crewmen, less their emergency air supplies. Took some time to gather all the bits together: the bodies and weapons are from Victoria Miniatures, the helmets are Puppetswar pilot helmets, while the heads are either GW or Dreamforge. The air tanks are Dreamforge magazines stuck on a bit of sprue, and connected to the helmets with a bit of paper clip.
The premise behind these is that the uniforms, despite their appearance, are actually vac suits, and that you will need to seal up once your starship takes hits and starts losing its air.
@rasmus good to see you here. I’m jealous! Looks like a great mancave space!
@robert those mini’s are looking awesome! I’m not sure yet how I’m going to base my WWII 15mm stuff. I’m not really fond of stands with multiple models on them. I know it makes things easier, and that they are a team that will operate together, but it seems to limit things tactically, and it doesn’t always look right on the table imho. Anyone else want to weigh in on this? I can still be convinced. 🙂
@oriskany I’m looking forward to finding some time for a Darkstar battle report. 🙂
@unclejimmy yes another book is on the way. Time is a problem for me right now.
This is Aran’s “I just tore up the garbage because my bowl is empty” look.
I may be next on the menu… rescues.

Out for lunch, then berry picking, and maybe a bit of hobby later in the day.
