Harry Potter Miniatures Adventure Game Unboxing
July 11, 2019 by ludicryan
Ryan and Sam get all nostalgic as they get to unbox Harry Potter Miniature Adventure Game from Knight Models.
The guys grill each other on their respective houses and which characters are their favourite. But they also take a look at what's contained in the box of the Harry Potter Miniatures Game. As might be expected from Knight Models, the miniatures themselves are beautiful and there's plenty of detail in the components and cards.
Which Harry Potter character is your favourite?

Have they sorted the licensing? Or is it still UK/ES only?
The only thing I know about Harry Potter is former English rugby international Martin Bayfield was Robbie Coltrane’s body double in the movies. He is 6’10 while Coltrane is a bit shorter!
Are beards contagious? Even the hobbit has one now… didn’t know they could grow facial hair.
Will there be bearded ladies at beast of war?
I did see the movies eventually (but didn’t bother until they were on freeview as I had low exceptions due to them being kids films that were failing to compete to the real trilogy LotR).
And I can’t recall the houses anyone was part of… was there a slithery?
Any idea how much the tin is? Only 7 minis (spiders aren’t minis… they’re basically just bases with lumps on) so I’d not pay much for it.
Never was interested in the Harry Potter stories, but the sculpts do look nice.
I was going to pick this up but when I saw the price my wallet said No Bloody Chance and immediately closed itself….
Got in the origional kick starter, the figures are beautiful models but the whole thing was let down by the rules which although nicely presented are very poor and do not give any real flavor of the books.
I have been recently battling with the original box and resin. The quality, or lack there of in terms of brittleness, and having to remove flash/spois means that I have never spent so much time preprepping the models, and replacing the brittle wands. The quality of the original sculpts is first class, but the lack of fitness for purpose of the resin means that I have no intention of ever working with it ever again.
I would have to physically see and be significantly impressed by the new resin to ever consider buying Knight Models again.
Putting out a new/reworked edition with superior quality components and better resin sculpts around a year after the first release hardly makes Knight Models look good. This isn’t some fantastic upgrade, it should have been like this from the start and the whole release was poorly handled. Nor is the first edition sold out, plenty of shops are sitting on expensive boxes that now just won’t sell. And if the resin has been improved what about all the first edition expansions to date?
This should have been a run-away success, but it comes across the complete opposite.
Did Ryan just give Hermione a quick poke?
shame the resins were updated after the first batch as I got everything on the pre order 🙁 glad they upgraded it but sad for all the pre orderers. resin was very brutal.
