Flames of War Germans
Had the day off today so been busy building
So had today off work and managed to sit down and get some of my force put together. For those who know me they know that my biggest hang up is mold lines and flash cleaning, I am pretty sure I have a bigger problem than Lloyd with it.
It took me the first 5 months of this year to clean up and build my Kings of War force which is slowly getting painted between the latest shinies such as slow grow leagues and upcoming boot camps.
For the first vehicle of each type even with dry fitting to see it all fits nicely together I will always do a full model clean of mold lines, flash and connection points. Once this one is done and the miniature assembled I can have a look around it and judge what to clean up and what I can ignore. I am very aware of what I am doing in the bonding areas. As you can imagine you want to clean these areas up for a good dry fit but at the same time you need to be careful not to remove too much material so it instead shows a gap.
I have left all the protective skirts off for now until I have these exposed surfaces fully painted. Really pleased with the miniatures and how they go together though and happy with this first two platoons of my 50 points first-month build.

Good work. I’m perhaps the same, can’t live with mould lines and probably spend too long trying to remove all of them.
