Digital Take On Gloomhaven Coming To Steam This July
June 28, 2019 by brennon
Cephalofair Games, Asmodee Digital and Flaming Fowl Studios have been working hard on a digital version of Gloomhaven which is going to be available to play in July over on Steam.
This game will take the core systems that made Gloomhaven so awesome, dropping it into the digital medium so that you don't have to meet up with your friends in person in order to play.
The game is also looking very, very good indeed and I can already see myself diving into this to give it a go. The campaign itself has also been tweaked so it's entirely original to the PC game.
This means that there won't be any backtracking over old content if you've been enjoying the tabletop version of Gloomhaven.
As well as being a game which is all about dungeon delving and smashing monsters, it's also one of resource management. Your hand of cards are your weapons but also your life, so you have to try and win your battles with efficiency as well as brawn.
If you're looking for a fun strategic dungeon crawler, this should be on the top of your list. I can't wait to see what the new story holds!
Will you be downloading this in July?

The PC game look’s good.
it’s looking good
Seen a lot of those turn based games over the years. They do get repetitive.
Gloomhaven tabletop was never on my list to buy. Far too expensive.
Shame, its an amazing game if you can get it slightly used like we did. Only £60 in the end.
Not just the price. Not sure my gaming group would be interested and not convinced I want to play it solo. I spent a significant sum of LotR card game by FFG and still not played that fully. Time is an issue for games like that.
