The Men of the Rusted Blades
The Marines of the Rusted Blades have given themselves over fully to Nurgle
I was very daunted by these minis when I first saw them but I approached them as I would any other minis
I started by painting them Death Guard Green which came with a Conquest Magazine
After that I went about blocking in the colours
Then a wash of Army Painter Dark Tone which is my go to for all minis
Then I went over the armour in Snot Green
The rest of the colours were done again and another coat of Dark Tone was applied but much lighter
The Flames and Malignant Plaguecaster Fumes were done by heavily watering down Snot Green over a white Basecoat. i was very happy with the results. This was more of an even stain rather than a wash which would pool too much for what I was after
The same method was used for the Bloat Drone as the Marines themselves
With the Traitor Mechanicus supporting them the Rusted Blades have access to a wide range of Daemonic Vehicles
